Privacy policy

• Account details: your name, email address and password (stored encrypted), or your Google profile if you sign in with Google.
• Profile details you choose to add: company, town, website, photo or logo, and a short bio.
• Listings: descriptions, photos, prices and locations, including the exact address of a space.
• Bookings and payments: dates, prices, artwork, proof-of-posting photos, cancellations and problem reports. Card details go straight to Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Space owners' payout and VAT details. Bank details and identity checks are handled by Stripe.
• Messages between advertisers and space owners, and reviews.
• Basic usage information, such as daily view counts for listings (counted without identifying who viewed them).

• To run bookings, take payments, pay space owners and send booking emails — because it's needed for our contract with you.
• To keep financial records, as the law requires.
• To keep Advertoo safe, prevent fraud and improve the service — in our legitimate interests.

The other person in a booking sees your name, company and messages. A space's exact address is only shared once a booking is confirmed.

We use these providers to run Advertoo [confirm the final list before launch]:

• Stripe — payments, payouts and identity checks for space owners
• Supabase — our database, sign-in and file storage
• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — sending emails
• MapTiler — maps
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK's approved data transfer agreements.

We keep your account information while your account is open. We keep booking and payment records for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as UK tax law requires. [Retention periods for messages and closed accounts to be confirmed.]

We only use cookies that Advertoo needs to work: one to keep you signed in and one to remember the spaces in your campaign. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email [privacy email]. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We'll update this page if we change how we use personal information, and tell you about significant changes.
